  1. Just turned it on in time to see the finish, amazing achievement

  2. I was worried he was getting boxed in, but then suddenly everything cleared up in front of him and he pulled off a textbook finish.

  3. I almost can’t believe it. He’s had such poor luck these last few years that I was honestly fearing for the worst. When it came to it though, the sprint was absolutley clinical. What a legend!

  4. Pleased for him, great news, absolutely gutted that this post just spoiled it for me.

  5. He was tactically superb today and his team him where he needed to be

  6. What an amazing win today. The man is a legend and thoroughly deserves it. I am very proud to say have seen all 35 of them live on TV. Hero!!

  7. What a belter! The fact this guy has been winning stages in the tour for as long as he has is incredible to me. And at the age of 39 is still so quick too!

After all the disappointment last few years and last year I thought it wasn’t going to happen, I’m so happy for him!

    Big fan!

  8. Netflix are absolutely creaming their pants right now

  9. Oh for fucks sake I hadn’t caught up on todays stage yet. Did not expect this sub to ruin the stage for me!

  10. Amazing!

Watch his documentary folks, it’s truly inspiring.

  11. Watched this live, amazing. Especially after last year, thought that was it for him.

  12. Amazing cyclist, terrible person. What an achievement however. Kudos

  13. I’m pretty ignorant to the TDF, but how come stage wins don’t equate to overall wins? Is it because winning stages can exhaust a rider, where winning overall takes a more measured approach?

  14. Kind of sad that this will be a little over looked my non cycling fans due to not understanding how prestigious individual stages are.

This is one of the biggest achievements in modern sport.
