  1. « The Russian capital ranked first in the infrastructure development and quality of life categories.

Infrastructure development includes internet access and public transit access, while the quality of life category focuses on education and science, crime rate and green area coverage ».

  2. Honestly, as a Moscow resident, I feel so proud. It’s such a beautiful and amazing city. Say what you want about Russia, but Moscow is amazing.

  3. Lmao at the downvotes of a non political post, a European capital is top 1 in the world in the infrastructure and quality of life categories, we should be proud not angry :c

  4. Well, it’s certainly a very beautiful city. More beautiful than St. Petersburg I think. Apparently the quality of life factor did not include the ability to exercise fundamental freedoms though, such as the freedom of expression.

  5. This reminds me of Moscow 2042 a dystopian novel on how communism has been successfully built in the single city of Moscow, transforming the city into a paradise where everyone gets everything they want while the rest of the territory starving to death is separated from a wall reminding the Berlin wall.

Moscow is a prosperous city but what about the rest of Russia?

  6. Don’t care if it’s named the most prosperous city in the galaxy. Wont visit Russia as long as it’s ruled by mafia thugs.

  7. Lived there half a year in 2018. No way this would ever fit in my best EU cities.

    – corrupt police, hospitals and generally every official
    – horrific traffic jams
    – bureaucracy is on another level. I just gave up having fiber installed in my place.
    – number of beggars, drunk and mentally ill people is shocking
    – outside of the centre, it is a depressing vibe. Poor living standards.
    – price of rent in city centre is insane. And what you get is utter crap.
    – filth, smog, you can’t cycle.
    – all amplified by weather conditions that are just unbearable from oktober to march.
