It’s odd that we have pro-Palestinian areas really.
>Galloway recently [told a rally](https://www.youtube.com/live/JA1Rhs3_yqc?si=pRY3ljho4K0GxhRs&t=4783) in east London: “If he had said what he said about you about some of the Pakistani people I run around with, there would have been very serious trouble already. Labour councillors pretending to be Pakistanis, Labour MPs pretending to be Pakistanis, they would have been forced to resign on their doorsteps by a large crowd of angry constituents.”
Religious and ethnic trouble stirring.
Your daily reminder, Britain supplies both Eurofighter and Tornado the Saudis who use them in Yemen. There are no mass protests to demand the UK stops supplying the weapons for that conflict.
Not a single mention of any arrests made or any kind of feedback from the police.
Anecdotally near me I have heard that people are being more aggressive toward volunteers that are delivering political leaflets.
I don’t think here it’s due to conflicts abroad, or confined to various demographics, but more an indication of anger being increasingly viewed as an appropriate method of communication.
> Cooper said: “We cannot allow intimidation, abuse and harassment of candidates or volunteers to undermine our democracy. People can debate and disagree in a serious way without disgraceful intimidation or threats that damage communities. Everybody must be able to take part in our democratic processes free from fear, intimidation or abuse.”
Yet they intimidate, abuse, harass and deselect their own party members who don’t tow the leaderships line on Israel. Ironic.
Oh no were people mean to the poor genocide enablers?
Fuck off with your whinging and live with your policy.
Looks like I shouldn’t feel bad for voting the way I did given that these people dislike them.
I wonder if these “pro-Palestinian areas” have anything else in common
They count being asked civil questions as Harassment.
Labour needs to adult up if it’s going to stay in government long. This is some pathetic whinging.
I don’t think the Muslim vote will be an issue this election. It will be in 10 years time though. I’m leaving teaching, but a lot of my Londoner students are big fans of Alhmed Yakoob. They’re also fans of Tate. Scarily, a lot these are 2nd generation Turks who’s parents are Kemalist.
The Kurdish and Iranians are much more liberal, interestingly.
