I do love the experience of going out and voting however for my anxiety I made sure I did a postal vote weeks ago. This vote is too important for a lot of reasons in this video
People will still moan about having to have an ID again even though it’s literally been years.
Not that I agree that it will do anything towards voter fraud, but it exposed a subset of people who lack common sense.
I am also confused how it was supposed to stop young people from voting when young people literally need a provisional driving license in order to buy alcohol.
I voted this morning and didn’t see a single dog so what was really the point
Even if you can’t stand any of them, at least spoil your vote. Spoiling sends the message “my vote is up for grabs and can be gained/lost in a future election”. Not voting at all sends the message “my vote isn’t in play so you can safely ignore me”.
I’ve often seen people comment ‘Why would I vote when no party’s doing anything I like’. That’s entirely fair. But while parties would like to you vote for them, not voting at all is an acceptable alternative. It means they can safely make policies at your expense to appease people who do vote. They’re never going to make the first move and reach out to you because they’re incentivised to keep you unengaged.
Spoiling your ballot won’t change the outcome of this election. But it’s how you signal that you shouldn’t be ignored in the future.
Voting is completely pointless and it is a cope to think otherwise.
Jonathan Pie (Tom Walker) is an insufferable prick, but please do vote today!
I can’t wait for the slightly less terrible than the tory party to get into power, woo!
Well I for one, can’t wait for the other cheek of the political arse to get into power.
Well I’d say you guys better don’t vote
Your one single vote will LITERALLY alter nothing at all, if you just think for once
The system can not be changed- nor even be reformed from within. You can only change the shape of a thing (system, in this case) by exerting pressure from outside. Basic physics…
wait until you die or ANARCHY now
I really dislike the cynicism / pessimism I’m seeing around the expected outcome of this General Election. You don’t ever get perfect candidates in elections; someone who aligns perfectly with what you believe so sadly you must always compromise to a degree.
But I’m genuinely optimistic about a Labour government, and while I don’t agree with everything they say, I appreciate the *way* Starmer wants to do politics which seems more honourable and decent than the Conservatives have ever been.
I think it’s really, really easy to be cynical. It’s easy to use cynicism to make yourself seem worldly and intelligent. Optimism is harder because it’s seen as naive, but personally I’d rather be optimistic and believe things can improve.
Anyone not recieved their postal vote? I cant even get through to my Council or electoral registration office (what number do they provide?) via telephone, and there is next to no details on how to contact anybody within the borough? What is going on right now?
Agreed! Vote now.
This Youtube short is a reminder why you need to vote today!

I would do if the Tories actually followed through on their votes for life promise in, checks notes, 2021.
Hear, hear, hear … someone give this guy the job!
I will, but you can keep centrist dad “comedians” such as Pie. We are in this position because of people like him.
Wipe out the Tories!
(Labour is shit though, but Reform is even shittier)
A these people who say don’t forget to vote mean don’t forget to vote for the party I like.
Good Luck from Australia! I miss my home very very much!!
What time should the results start to come in? I do enjoy watching election night unfold. Just hope I’ve got an easy shift tonight and get to finish before most of the seats get announced
I did a postal vote. We don’t have a dog, but the cats looked disinterested.
I have no dog in this election, but I look forward to the result all the same.
