Why does my bacon look like fishies? Still tasted grand but never had fish shaped bacon before. Was regular looking rashers until they were cooking.

  3. You bought thinly sliced bacon and put it into a hot pan without snipping the fat, this resulted in the fat (which cooks quicker that the meat) puling the bacon together making the fish shape.

  8. tip: put your bacon on COLD pan just when you switch it on, it will be crispier and cooked more evenly. Also if you have a butcher nearby try getting bacon there, you’ll see the difference in thickness and taste, and it won’t lose its shape.
