2. There is a delicious irony that our nation became a elected Dictatorship on the week of it birth. It is interesting on a certain level to be able to feel in some small part what the avg Roman citizen felt as their Republic slide down the path to Empire. Not a “good” interesting, but still…

3. This is obscene. Never in the history of our nation have presidents been given immunity from criminal liability for crimes commited while in office. We are witnessing a slow-motion coup being perpetrated on our republic, and if Trump is allowed back in the White House, the game is over. He will allow the Christofascists to run rampant, and steamroll over the Constitution as they convert the country to a theocracy. This isn’t hyperbole, it’s the coming reality.

5. In reality the president is a figurehead. Trump, doesn’t matter. This election, doesn’t matter.

   The Supreme Court holds ultimate power in this nation, democracy is dead, and what looks like a handful of us even fucking realize it.
