  1. But why is that? Money? Or maybe better materials and techniques? Or corrupt contractors using inferior materials?

  2. The road taxes you pay in Netherlands are only used for maintenance of roads and such. The road taxes you pay in Belgium just go in the “tax-department” and almost every governing body can use that money when needed.

  3. Waarom overdrijven jullie onze wegen zijn perfect

  4. It do be this bad, once i slept in the car while coming back from the Netherlands at night, the moment we go over the border i woke up. I think Belgium just doesnt Care as we have money, but the stupid politicians are arguing where to put it. It’s like this for years, maybe decades

  5. Men all those taxes, some of the highest in the world…I think they should increase them so they can invest it more and more in the infrastructure…meanwhile half of million of moroccans living on social benefits not paying 1 euro in taxes, dont you just like the politically correctness of this country? Ah..and did I tell about the garbage lying on the streets for weeks in front of the EU Commission buildings? Thats just an eco move, we all know garbage is a fertilizer. Go Belgium!

  6. Als die foto genomen is waar ik denk (grensovergang A12), toont deze niet de autostrade zelf, maar een service road ernaast. De autostrade zelf is prima.

  7. Belgium is a transit country, so way more heavy traffic and has way more roads compared to the Netherlands.

Stop using our roads, dutchies 🙂

  8. This is how that place looked like in 2021: [https://www.google.com/maps/@51.3769628,4.3046657,3a,75y,328.37h,68.5t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s0a7wWQcEpOUgvK7Rh5eNtg!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205409&entry=ttu](https://www.google.com/maps/@51.3769628,4.3046657,3a,75y,328.37h,68.5t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s0a7wWQcEpOUgvK7Rh5eNtg!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205409&entry=ttu)

That picture was from roadworks further in the past, notice the still “130” signs on NL side.

For fun, see the quality of the Dutch part of the road about 100meters further:

  9. It’s a way to let the blind know they’re crossing the border
