I hope the pressure being placed on them from the west will prevent them from giving these to russia, however so far they have seemingly only been interested in making money irrespective of how it impacts Ukraine.

Why is India still buying Russian weapons when it’s become obvious that Western weapons are mostly superior?
I know about Indian / British history and I understand that there were/are issues with the West not supporting India in its conflict with Pakistan. Is there something else that draws India to Russia?
I don’t think the West needs to worry about this particular investment, as far as I understand the rounds are intended to be used by the armed forces of India. In fact, this probably weakens India’s reliance on Russia in the long run.

Read the actual article. This is Russia helping India set up licensed production of Russian ammunition *for India’s own domestic defense needs* for Russian/Soviet equipment already purchased or to be purchased *by India*.
Nothing here says anything about India producing arms *for Russia* (though that is certainly a possibility, but unlikely).

At some point I feel like the West should drop the nice guy fascade and show the world that the west has a security interest too. For some reason everybody seems to forget that and just thinks the western security interests can be kicked around at will and nothing happens.
This might be an okay thing, as Indians won’t work for Rubles. The greater the drain on Russia’s foreign currency reserves the better.
