  1. Vaughan has run out of road and we’re likely to see a larger number of reform seats at the next senedd election on current vote share.

  2. As great as it is to see the back of the Tories after 14 years, you’d think the celebrations of Labour supporters in England would be somewhat more circumspect, given Labour’s record in Wales for the last 24 years is vising to all.

  3. I actually think Gething and Welsh Labour in general may be a bit worried, or at least should be.

The Labour majority gained in UK overall was very much due to a desire to break the status quo.

In Wales, Labour is the incumbent party that has been in charge while everything has declined, and they will now quickly run out of road with the “it’s Westminster’s fault” argument.

  4. Good luck calling an ambulance and one actually showing up.

  5. This is a really bad take. Labour share of vote has fallen dramatically in Wales.

Reform came within a whisker of winning Llanelli and performed so strongly in the Valleys.

2026 Senedd elections be sure Farage and Reform will attack it hard probably on an abolish the Welsh assembly manifesto. And they will do well. Given the electoral reform they will win many seats based on yesterday’s results.

A lot of people are upset with Vaughan Gething’s donors and his lack of respect to the Welsh people by ignoring the no confidence vote. He will be gone soon when he can’t pass a budget, however the damage he’s caused could damage our devolution forever.

  6. OK we got what we wanted in the GE, lets concentrate now on getting Gething out
