Insulate Britain: Activists leave court to glue themselves to step

  1. A bit of a sick mockery for the homeless people who die of exposure this time of year. The chinless middle classes really get annoying when they get bored.

  2. Well in all the shitstorm of rising prices, fascist & corrupt government and ecological disaster at least there is something to make me laugh. Good on them. Couldn’t pay me to do that but I’m glad some people are making a fuss. Who comes up with their protest ideas – I know, lets glue ourselves to step next… OMFG.

  3. It’s funny how you read the comments in one thread on r/unitedkingdom everyone bemoans the fact that the country is getting worse with inflation and corruption etc but nobody protests in this country! Then you look at a thread about these Insulate Britain people protesting and everyone mocks them for protesting. Classic.

  4. While I didn’t overly like their road blocking origin, these subsequent protests have been brilliant for both not disrupting people they need support for and for being rather defiantly ballsy and baiting the courts.

It is like the listened to the feedback while also sticking to their beliefs.

  5. When XR protested one of the companies in our building, some muppets glued themselves to the window.

The thing is, it wasn’t the revolving doors or anything, it wasn’t a shopfront, just a random window. They weren’t in the way or stopping anyone doing anything. I dont understand why the police didn’t just leave them there.
