The residents there are used to these, they are hoping the new rich soils bringing better harvest in the near future
nobody lives in the immediate vicinity and Etna has the "safety valve" of regular eruptions every few years.
I live near mount Etna. There was no "4 years silence", a year ago the "near-by" airport had to close. It actually erupts once a month, maybe two, but it's very common, especially in the last years
"Happy 4th of July".
One day in the far-off future they'll find preserved how they used to live in Sicily.

Do they ever pose a threat? Tornadoes seem more dangerous and I never hear bout them
