  3. Not cor economic reasons. For defense reasons.

    Rest assured that most military subcontractors have a handful of contracts that are considered so critical to our defense that land and earth will be moved to get them the money they need to survive.

  4. If Boeing failed, Lockheed Martin would mysteriously get a huge infusion of capital and would buy them in short order.

    It wouldn’t quite be business as usual for Boeing after such a move, but I doubt there’d be much turbulence going forward, pun intended.

  5. Yes. They are too big and bloated. Cut them up. Re-engage in competition.
