  2. The sheer amount of tanks the Soviet Union built is staggering. The fact they’re atarting to run out of them even more so.

  3. I imagine that a lot of the tanks that were parked outside, were rusty bricks, only meant to be counted by satellite.

  8. The numbers feel correct. Russia is claimed to be churning out 125 tanks per month in 2023, 86% of these being refurbishments. So about 1200-1300 refurbishments in 2023. The (rough) graph in the video shows that about 1200 tanks were visibly removed from storage in that same period.

  11. I do wonder if the russians will actually run out of tanks, literally run out of tanks. Yeah, I know, they have to keep some equipment back to protect their own country, but, putin is dead if he loses this war, and he may run his army our of tanks [and artillery] trying to win the war.

    The smart thing for the russians to do is to shift to a defensive strategy, and wait until the results of the election in the US is over, to see if putin’s guy won, but the russians haven’t done the smart thing much of this war and may just keep attacking because that’s what putin wants.
