**What just happened and where?**
Barcelona won Split 2 of Rising, Spain’s Valorant Challengers League competition, in five maps against UCAM ESports Club. The finals were just played live at Feria Valencia during OWN Valencia.
**What next?**
Barcelona now will compete at the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Ascension event for EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). The winner gains a VCT EMEA berth for the 2025 season, meaning they can potentially qualify for and compete at the Masters and Champions global events.
**Who will Barcelona face at Ascension?**
Barcelona will compete at Ascension as champions of Spain. The winners of the other eight EMEA national and regional VCL leagues (listed below) also qualify, as does the winner of a play-in, for a total of 10 teams.
* *Polaris* (North – United Kingdom, Ireland and the Nordic Countries)
* *Révolution* (France)
* *Evolution* (DACH – Germany, Austria and Switzerland)
* *Birlik* (Turkey)
* *Surge* (Eastern and Central Europe)
* *Resilience* (MENA – Middle East and North Africa)
* *Rinascimento* (Italy)
* *Tempest* (Portugal)
**What is the Ascension format?**
To be determined, but Ascension EMEA last year was two single round-robin groups of 5 teams, from which the top two from each group advanced to a double elimination bracket. Typically, all matches are best-of-3 until the best-of-5 lower bracket finals and grand finals.

Valorant? As in, the video game Valorant? I think I see somewhere we can cut funding.
