  1. Similar happened to me. Picked up leaves tidying the garden. Strep C got in a tiny paper cut I had. In the evening felt awful and cold. Drove to A&E and barely got there.

    In hospital for 10 days with sepsis and doctors wanted to take my hand off. Ended up opening it up and washing it out a few times. Had to have one finger amputated in the end so very lucky.

    Strep bacteria is natural in the soil and also on your skin. It’s only a problem if it gets in you and multiplies quickly. In my case it got in my finger tendon (I’ve got bad circulation).

    WEAR GLOVES IN THR GARDEN!!
