  5. Biden’s stumbles are well-known, but the media is definitely taking advantage of it. I dumped CNN recently because it was literally 45 minutes of Biden every hour, with like 2 minutes of Trump and maybe some hurricane/weather and EU election information sprinkled in.

    I’m not saying Biden shouldn’t be covered, but it’s so disproportionately lopsided that I had to turn it off.

  11. BTW for context the 9/10 vs 10/10 elections difference you will see when the 13 keys comes up is the election of 2020, which he called for Al Gore.

    Lichtman has since participated in a review of that election that found Gore would have won if the counting continued and highlights this as his explanation for the different result. Thus that one failure comes with a big asterisk.

  13. He is spot on. I am so sick of CNN giving Trump a pass. They should be reminding people what Trump has done and plans to do to this country. Abortion, project 2025, jail perceived enemies, January 6th, and Trump’s ties to Epstein are a good place to start.

CNN hosts know they are complicit – they don’t care or they care and are paid to keep their mouths shut and play ball because that’s what the EP’s and directors have told them is required if they want to keep their high paying hosting jobs. Outside of their international and breaking news coverage, CNN has been a dumpster fire for a decade, so none of this is too much of a shocker but…

    The executives, the writers, the bookers, the schedulers, the web teams know the score, since 2022 – hard on Biden, soft on trump. That’s what new ownership wants and when ownership gets what it wants, executives keep jobs and get bonuses. Next time you find yourself wondering why CNN is still droning on about Democrats replacing Biden (which isn’t going to happen in my opinion) and not the trump/Katie Johnson rape that literally just came to light from 2006 or any of the other batshit insane stuff trump has said or done lately, this is likely why. trump is good for ratings, which means more money from advertisers, and so on.

    This is how it works now that Discovery is the owner and conservative John Malone is one of the largest single shareholders. Any deviation results scrutiny and cushy jobs, time slots, gigs going bye bye. Just ask Don Lemon.

  18. Will a hundred more stories on Trump’s lies on CNN really make a difference? Most everyone watching CNN already knows who Trump is and generally understands he’s a threat. Those who need to hear it aren’t watching CNN or listening to any mainstream outlet. Most Americans get their news from social media and not from watching any news program.

    You have to admit, the Biden drama lately has been pretty juicy. It’s new, different, and provides something for us to talk about besides Trump being bad. We’ve already been discussing that for 10 years now, so the opportunity to dive into some other drama is tough to pass up. I think CNN and other outlets know that discussing Trump instead would get them fewer viewers than this current drama.

  32. I swear the pundits had a script written about Biden’s interview on Friday before it even happened. Immediately following it, a blonde woman on ABC said it was the worst outcome because it “wasn’t so bad that blah blah blah, but it wasn’t good enough that blah blah blah.” I switched over to CBC where they talked to some CNN guy and he said the exact same line. They want to plant the seed of doubt and freak voters out. It’s in their best interest because a Trump presidency is simply better for viewership, which is better for making money.

  37. That town hall (read: Trump rally) that they hosted with an audience full of independent (read: Republican) voters should’ve been all the evidence that you needed. CNN knew that they were helping Trump when they had Anderson Cooper give an apology for the town hall after all the blowback they received; but as long as they got those ratings who cares?
