  1. **QUOTE**

“Mr. Biden did joke about his age, saying that although he may look like he’s “40 years old,” he’s “been around a long time.”

“The bishop and I were talking about that — it’s heck turning 40,” Mr. Biden said.”

  2. Pretty sure most of us are united in the fact Biden needs to step aside.

  3. Try getting the 70 million idiots who found out they can get attention by mobbing up and worshiping a neo-Nazi onboard.

  4. Today it seems that the French people reacted to the threat from the far-right and theu will not win. Whoever is on the ballot right now for the Democrats needs to message with the same urgency about Fascism.

After the far-right won the first round, France got the message. Let’s follow that example!

  5. My message to the Democrats claiming “A house divided against itself cannot stand” is to start thinking of our country as a duplex. I don’t want to feel “united” with people who oppose my right to get married or work in the public sector.

  6. America is becoming united against him. 70% of the population thinks he’s too old to run, and you can’t get 70% of the population to agree on anything these days.

  7. It’s weird when a politician goes into a church and doesn’t proclaim that some people need killing like the horrible GOP gubernatorial candidate here in NC.

  8. Biden should go for “drain the swamp”. Would love to see maga flip

  9. You can’t reunite democrats and republicans. You all have played the “lesser of two evils” shit with independent voters too long and look where it’s got you (both sides).

D&Rs have destroyed democracy with their team antics. Half the country isn’t your enemy – and if they are, maybe it’s time for smaller countries because you sure as shit aren’t going to change opinions the way you all go about it.

The only way to “reunite” this country is independent candidates and destroying the two party system. Yes progressives, this might mean slower progress but at least policies won’t get whipsawed every 4-8 years.

This is the first time in a long time independents have some power and should leverage it to get a third party in office, if you want to put democracy on the ballot, independent candidates is the way to do it.

  10. We can’t unite under boomers that want to burn the world down as they leave it. We can’t unite with people trying to use thousands year old dogma to justify their hate. We can’t unite when a third of the population is rabid and bloodthirsty and looking for anything to use as justification to act on those urges.

  11. This whole they go low, we go high BS is that, B.S. 💩

  12. It feels like it’s been a long time since we had much discussion about unity.

  13. Tell that to the Republican party that wants to attack everyone that isn’t them.

It’s not even the individuals, they have just been misled. I blame the fucking institutions and leaders and talking heads that have intentionally fed them misinformation to make them choose party over country and drive themselves further away from us in hatred and confusion.

The small people in the party, every day people, have been taken advantage of by those who know better but just want masses to support economic policies that only benefit billionaires. Those are the people twisting the narratives, the people responsible for sheep following them to the end.

The saddest part is, some of these basic Republican people have been dragged so far from the truth that even if you show them the light now, and try to approach teaching them right from wrong compassionately and kindly, they will still fight you off and cling to the “comforting” parental forces of the Republican party that have been leading them astray.

Q anon is a big example of that, trying to connect the dots of why society is painful and going wrong, and yet completely forming the wrong ideas about it instead of blaming those who are actually creating the pain in this world that began so long ago.

Instead of blaming Reagan and economic policies that gave up the value of the working class, of their lives, to billionaires who don’t need more tax cuts, they instead blame the left, because the GOP made it about “us vs. them”. The GOP, it’s talking heads, it’s leaders, it’s billionaires and news sources misled the small people. The everyday people. Just because they wanted a mass of people foaming at the mouth that will vote for them no matter what so they can get away with everything. And since social media has been created to be an echo chamber, they will never see any different information than what they are fed, and their public education was underfunded by Reagan so that they can’t even really use their brains to critically think for themselves.

There’s a lot at play with this divisiveness in society and it’s not the liberals trying to advocate for human rights

  14. It will be extremely difficult as long as Trump is allowed to say and do whatever he wants while having most media companies promoting him.

  15. The issue that is making this election seem so close is the huge amount of misinformation and lies spread online and by news media organizations we have a large group of the voting population that doesn’t live in reality.

  16. I think we are well past the point of unity. I don’t want to share the table with a Nazi party. Weed em out or burn it down. A future built off Project 2025 isn’t worth being a part of.

  17. We need everyone to vote especially our young people our future and rights are on the line.

  18. “Ladies and gentlemen, I was 4 when fascism was defeated in the western world. I remember the greatest generation coming home and forging this nation into a spear to fight the tyranny of communism. I remember workers expanding their rights to live a dignified life. My age may be an uncomfortable truth, but I am the link between today and that greatest generation that created this unique and powerful legacy. Vote for me, or vote for the very fascism that 400,000 Americans died fighting to destroy. The choice is obvious for me.”

Just speak like this! Why does he have to speak without passion?

  19. It’s difficult as I, and I think millions and millions of others, do not want unity with the right/MAGA. I just don’t. They need to truly change who they are as people or just go away. I know neither will happen, so why should we want unity with them?

  20. We were pretty united in 2020 when 7 million more voters voted for Bide than they did Trump. But since then, voters have said they don’t really like Biden or his age, Biden and Dems have not done enough on messaging about the causes of inflation, and then there’s Gaza, too.

Voter apathy and people who will just stay home is what will decide this election. Dems probably relied on abortion too much, thinking that alone will bring people to the polls. I hope it’s enough, but I’m just not sure anymore. Not with Trump leading in almost all polls. This time four years ago Biden was leading by 9. This is serious. I really think we need a new candidate.

  21. nah. I like knowing who doesn’t think I should exist. You can’t just sweep their bigotry and hatred under the rug. They have to be defeated, every single time. Compromise is what got us here. The political left is as right as it’s ever been.

  22. They never learn, this uniting shit doesn’t work. This they go low we go high doesn’t work. I hope they wake up.

  23. Trump’s guys are saying ‘there won’t be bloodshed if the left just accept Trump/GOP’s 2nd revolution’

Both sides are not the same, vote like democracy depends on it this election- because it does.
