1. No one who has followed her career from the beginning is surprised. Even as a singer, she was an actress and was big on theatrics.

2. I’m not. Her entire career is based on theatrics, some of the most avant-guard theater in the world. I’m more surprised he could keep up with her.

3. I don’t think anyone doubt she could act when given a compatible role, and that is not bad.

   But she choose to present herself in characters she wasn’t able to properly render in the past.

6. I dislike this viewpoint. I imagine Lady Gaga is fantastic. It shouldn’t be that surprising. Actors who are hard working, talented, and reliable are not as rare as some Casting Directors seem to believe. A great many actors can keep up with Joaquin Phoenix!
