  1. Also Conservatives: “wHy AreN’t PeoPle gEttiNg marRied aNd hAvinG kIdS?!”

Room temperature IQs, the lot of them

  2. Just more desire to control women. How bad will it have to be to get the at fault divorce? How big of an injury to a spouse will have to happen before a divorce is granted? This is 100% horseshit.

  3. Oh hey, that’s on page 2 of Project 2025.

    I’m not even kidding.

  4. So, let me get this straight — they also don’t think enough people are getting married these days (in a strictly heterosexual, none race-mixing way, of course) — do they think this will make more people want to get married?

  5. This law, coupled with legal child marriage, and no abortion access even for rape, means that completely unfuckable men will have a wife they can choose, the same way a farmer owns livestock.

  6. They can take their ass backwards ways and shove em. Theyre the only ones that want to live in the 18th century. Dont try to put your shit on the rest of us that live in the civilized world. Go find a place like the Mormons did where you can practice your repugnant way of life and leave us out of it.. We won’t bother you.

  7. What kind of awful piece of shit would want to legally force somebody who doesn’t want to be married to them by married to them?

That sounds dangerously close to a form of slavery.

  8. > But critics of no-fault divorce say it undermines the sanctity of marriage and hurts men.

So pesky when a woman’s free will gets in the way of a man’s pleasure! 😑

  9. I got married of my own free will and if I ever leave my marriage it will also be of my own free will. The only thing I take from this is they want us to lose every bit of autonomy we have scratched and fought for for generations of women, it will bring forced marriage. If they can force you to stay in a marriage, they might as well cut out the middleman and force you into it right out of the chute.

  10. No fault divorce was new in the state I lived in as a kid. It allowed my mother to get herself and my brother and I out of a very bad abusive situation. I can’t believe we’re going backwards all these decades later.

  11. Isn’t this another of the things in Project 2025 that they tell you they’re not following at all trust me bro?

  12. Conservatives are disgusting Neanderthals. Anyone that’s votes for them is self-loathing and filled with hatred.

  13. Considering how many women already refuse to date Republicans, there’s no way this ends well for them.

Between the Boomer worship and the fact most of their younger base are incels they’re really sawing the log at both ends aren’t they?

  14. Dear Conservatives: the reasons someone may want to end their legal contract to be in a couple are NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS.

  15. Who was the lib-woke-socialist who got the whole no fault divorce thing started in CA? Ronald Reagan. This is how far off the cliff conservatives have gone. If they had had their way and put him on Mt Rushmore they would be blasting him off it by now.

  16. Knew it. Soon as I saw that Daily Wire goon complaining about how his wife divorced him “Because this state allowed it to happen,” I knew we were gonna see conservatives come for no fault divorce.

Guess dudes like the prospect of getting poisoned.

  17. No fault divorce is a check on abusive husbands and forces them to consider their spouse in all things or else. Kind of like having a President checked by the laws of the country and forcing them to consider the nation in all things.

    —- oh wait…

  18. About a year ago my father started making snide comments about no-fault divorce, which I found a little surprising and hurtful since we’d been rebuilding our relationship after he told me I was doing satan’s work on earth during my no-fault divorce (a decade ago). Now it’s clear he’s just on to the next maga talking point and I should probably reinstate some boundaries.

  19. Does anyone know how divorce was handled before no-fault divorce? What happened is that the only way people, and especially women, could get a divorce was to prove an affair or abuse in a court of law. Newspapers used to have entire sections full of juicy, scandalous details about the most nasty divorce cases. Sure, divorce rates were a lot lower then. But, that wasn’t because people had a greater reverence for marriage. An abused wife or a man whose spouse was having affair would stay in a miserable, dangerous, and unhappy situation because they didn’t want their name dragged through the mud.

No-fault divorce is a good thing because it gives divorcing couples a choice. Check off a box called irroncilable differences on the legal papers and go your separate ways or go old school and fight it out in a nasty public court fight that destroys the reputations of both parties.

  20. If you don’t like no-fault divorce, just don’t get one.

Conservatives just can’t stand living in a free country.
