The thing is, it wouldn’t really be a conflict between US and Russia but rather NATO and Russia. Who gives a f about US? This is about our continent.
Sad to see so many Russian trolls active and reaping success in Slovakia. People forgot about 1968…
In any war, the question who should we side with should be answered depending on who is the agressor and what was the war started over.
If USA starts the war because they want Russian oil, I’ll side with Russia. If Russia starts the war because they want Ukraine’s land, I’ll side with Ukraine. If there’s a war, where both sides hate each other for stupid reasons, like religion, ethnicity, or something that happened hundreds of years ago, I’ll side with no-one.
Russian Reich takes control over information really seriously. 20 years ago when Putin just came to power first thing he did was establishing control over three nationwide TV-stations. Later all other media were connected to pro-government network. So I am sure moderators of r/russia are also connected – directly or through mediators – with russian state. Don’t expect too liberal attitude from their side. Usually they request freedom from others but when it comes to their interests they never hasitate to use banhammer.
Interesting, this is another big “cultural”(?) difference between Czechia and Slovakia, why do you think that is?
I am so shamed the be a Slovak. what the hell. apparently kids these days don’t remember the russian tanks rolling over us.
Neither is the correct answer
That subreddit is a fuckin circlejerk, with rational opinion, that was just expected.
they banned me for writing one non-hateful comment on r/2Russophobic4you
Lmao I got permabanned by commenting on that post as well
Check cz vs sk
edit: I guess I didn’t need to point that out for anyone
As always we will side with the ones more likely to win the conflict, no matter if it’s commies or nazzies. We don’t fight losing battles, thats how you survive as a small nation.
IMO – The problem is option/answer *neither*. Our pro-russian citizens are more active and mobilized, so they automaticaly choose Russia. If there were only two options, most people from *neither* would move to *USA*.
As it was posted to that sub it is 99% fake. It’s pretty well known now that russia is running a large scale misinfo campaign on the internet, and that sub is the most obvious example.
there should be no sides, we have more serious problems out there that we, as humanity should care about
As a Pole, I never want to live under Russian rule, I want to have a free country, and I know that if Russia invades, it will be Commune 2.0 for us.
It’s not really about USA or Russia for me, its much more about European integrity. If we want to show, that we are a major power as the EU, we have to stay strong and defend our borders without stuff like Germany blocking delivery of arms to Ukraine. USA is obviously Poland’s biggest military partner so as long as it doesn’t change im with them.
However if US wanted rest of NATO to go to war in Ukraine with Russia (which is very unlikely) i think most people would not consent.

[survey back from september 2019](https://ecfr.eu/archive/page/-/popular_demand_for_strong_european_foreign_policy_what_people_want.pdf), isn’t there anything newer and more relevant to current situation?
