  1. Nearly 18%. They’ll leave a bloody stump where their arm was I’d say.

  2. Whoa! I am so hyped to hear this. If nothing else Aer Lingus realises this is the PR battle won; they beat the union to the punch. It is now fully on the union if their members reject this offer and things deteriorate.

  3. “So we’ll march day and night by the air control tower.
They have the planes but we have the power.”

  4. 17.75% over 4yrs is decent for Aer Lingus. The last pay increase was back in 2019 which means that the pilots will go from 2019 – 2027 with a single pay increase. They’d be much better off getting a 2/3% increase annually.

  5. If the Union turn this offer down then the pilots will need to get back flying simply to have a secure metal door between themselves and the angry general public.

  6. Let this be a message for all of us to join a union, organise with your colleagues and hold business to account. Lots of people grumbling about how much money pilots make, but failing to acknowledge that training for pilots (if you don’t go through cadet route) costs roughly €150,000 and loads of the newer pilots are on way less than 200k. Organise, stand firm with your working colleagues and believe that a better Ireland is possible.

  7. I really hope this can be sorted out. So many people, families have been badly affected by this.

  8. Do we know if this means flights will stop being cancelled or where we are at in the process? Understand it all needs to be done properly etc just hedging my bets on an upcoming flight!
