Hello!
I collect number plates/ licence plates from every country I visit. I'm visiting Copenhagen next week and would love to get a Danish one. Does anyone know anywhere I can buy one in an antique shop or does anyone have one they would be willing to sell me please?

I just googled and there is a Facebook group called “Danske emalje skilte og nummerplader køb og salg”. Literal translation is “Danish Enamal Signs and license plates buy and sell”.
Edit: And nice collection. Very cool!
the black one actually looks danish from before mid 70’s
So you can’t go anywhere and buy a number plate, but there is a Swedish online shop that sells a very good lookalike.
I can get you a yellow/red restricted one, but it’s gonna cost you.
Seeing as people are interested. Here’s how I got some of them:
Finland – Met a Redditor in Pori who showed me some of his town and sold me a plate off an old car of his.
Kosovo – Met a Redditor in Peja who then sold me the plate. Spent all day showing me round his town, local waterfalls and mountains.
Slovenia – Met a Redditor near Ljubljana on his lunch break from work and gave me the plate
Lithuania – Drove across Lithuania to meet someone who had one on ebay for sale
Estonia – Met a Redditor at an abandoned train station whilst driving across the county to Narva
Latvia – Met a Redditor at his work place in an industrial estate in Riga
India – A tuk tuk driver found someone selling old plates at the roadside and bought them from him
Bangladesh – A hotel waiter found me one after I mentioned it and gave it to me
Czech Republic – Bought an old one from antique store in Prague
Croatia – Found an old Yugoslavian plate for sale in a flea market in Split
Jersey – Antique dealer had one in his garage – followed him home in my car and he gave the plate to me
Guernsey – Went there for a few days and a friend of my Dad gave me one off his parent’s old car
-Nepal – Someone I became friends whilst teaching English with gave me an old one off his motorbike
-All of the USA state plates were bought in antique shops in those states
I just wanted to say that this is pretty cool you collecting these and meeting up with redditors. If was in Copenhagen I would gladly meet up with you and hand you one I stole on the way there.
