  5. I have a copy of Sports on vinyl in pretty good shape. I tap out after like 2 songs, but you got to love Huey Lewis as a person.

  6. I had a hardcore music fan friend walk me through how they came out of the San Francisco soul scene of the ‘70s and once you hear it, oh my god yes. I as an ‘80s kid was already a big fan but I didn’t realize until like a decade later where that sound was coming from. Like Weird Al, this is a much tighter band than you think at first.

  16. Huey and the band used to play local bar in Mill Valley (CA) called the 2 am club, just down the road from me at the time. I am glad they “made it” and got paid, where lots of musicians do not. I think they really paid their dues for many years before their commercial success.
