Resigns from being a Lord, or is he keeping that as a memento?
>Richard Holden has resigned as chair of the Conservative Party as Rishi Sunak announced an interim Shadow Cabinet.
>Lord Cameron has also resigned as shadow foreign secretary, with his deputy Andrew Mitchell taking the shadow foreign secretary.
>It is understood Lord Cameron felt it was important that given David Lammy as foreign secretary in the Commons, the shadow should also be an Member of Parliament.
He liked being back in the lime light but cannot be bothered to do the hard yards in opposition again.
I can’t even read the word ‘Lord’ in front of Cameron without repulsing, let alone say it aloud.
It’s all meaningless. They will all be sacked when Boris returns as leader.

I suppose it’s a decent enough excuse for David Cameron to crap out that he wants someone who’s actually an MP to question David Lammy. But it does feel a little like him doing what he always does and jump ship the second the shit hits the fan.
And this little piggy ran wee wee wee all the way home…..
Resigning after calamities is right on-brand for Davey Cameron at least
Personally, I’m stunned David Cameron is walking away from a national disaster.
Anyone criticizing him for this is completely out of touch.
I would, you would too. You may well have been critical that he was given the role in the first place.
Oh look , Cameron’s bitching out on a difficult situation again. True to form . Bye mate, thanks for destroying the country to appease the right wing nutcases.
Cameron, when it seems too much like hard work, he dips.
He will now resume his career of speaking to trees
Hopefully that’s the last time we’ll have a Secretary of State being an unelected peer.
Gosh, it’s not like Dave to bugger off the moment a vote goes badly.
He was probably told the stint would last a year tops anyway.
>Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer: Jeremy Hunt
>Shadow Home Secretary: James Cleverly
>Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions: Mel Stride
>Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury: Laura Trott
They’re quite literally shadows of their former selves.
Just coming here to say the sheer joy i feel knowing i dont have to care about a conservative reshuffle or leadership battle for up to five years is delicious
