  1. You’d be surprised chief as to how much of the EU laws/regulations etc we incorporated into our own post brexit.

  2. Too right! Now we can choose to follow EU regulations without having a say in them instead of previously being able to choose to follow them and having a say in them!

  3. Most languages are read from left to right and top to bottom. Placing your logo in the top left corner conforms to this natural reading pattern, making it 1 of the first things visitors see…

  4. Let‘s see if I can get the Brexit Energie-Labels correctly:

    A – Albanian

    B – Bulgarian

    C – Chinese

    D – Danish

    E – English

    F – French

    G – Good

    How did I do ?

  5. In this thread some British person is going to show up and be all patriotic about their plugs because they saw a Tom Scott video once. They do it in every thread like this. Their main selling point is that British plugs are the safest.

Every plug is safe dummy. Nobody is getting electrocuted, this is such low hanging fruit as far as how good plugs go. I lived in Ireland for 5 years and Sweden for 25, I have used both extensively.

British plugs are much worse, in fact, they’re the worst plugs and I’ll explain why. If I hear one more British person say they’re better I might lose my mind.

EU plugs you can insert either way. Imagine going back to pre-USB C days where you can only insert it into your phone one way. It sucks. It’s an archaic way of thinking. Having a row of plugs in a connector thing lying against the wall is annoying because you can’t come at it from both sides. Because of it’s stupid triangle shape you have to come at it from a certain direction, EU plugs don’t have this issue.

UK plugs are massive. They take up way more space. You can’t curl them around in your bag into a neat little ball, or stick it into your pocket, it’s like walking around with a fucking hockey puck. Absolutely redacted size.

It’s attached to the socket way too hard, even harder than your queen was attached to her paedophile son. This means if the cord ever gets caught around a foot or something and you yank it whatever is attached at the other end is guaranteed coming with you. GJ you just ripped down your TV from the bench because of your stupid ass cord.

This is the video in question. Nobody gives a fuck about your fuse Tom Scott. You’ve made every British person completely delusional. He’s done great service to the world in many other regards but on this one he’s a created a monster.

  6. Same same, but different.

You still have to follow but you can’t have an opinion… great success!

  7. Very independent of you Barry. Totally worth crashing your economy for.

  8. I at least would change the kWh/1000h to just W, because like why do we use kWh/100h insted of just using W, like the number would be the same because kWh/1000h simplifies to just W, like why would you do this it is almost as bad as the imperial sistem?!

  9. This and my passport colour make it worth it. Brexit is a success!!!

  10. Useful, plenty useful. I just realize why the UK wanted and did the Brexit. Congratulations to the winners!

  11. That’s us and California. California sets high standards and companies follow suit.
