hey conratulations [Applause] [Applause] congratul hello it’s actually just so wonderful to be able to say hello to you all during this Mission these people have given an incredible richness of shared experience and conversation a gift of love and support that made this year possible I am humbled that being away on a one-year Mars analog brought me closer to those I was with and those I left back at home I am so proud and honored to be part of this crew and project and to be a part of a small incremental part of the work being done here on Earth that will one day enable humans to explore and live on Mars

NASA volunteers who spent over a year in a simulated Mars bunker have completed their mission. The mission involved simulated spacewalks and growing crops on a mock Martian surface

  13. Crazy how all this time money and effort is being put into this when at the end of the day humans will over use any planet we're put on. Also, most likely only the wealthy will go live there. They're so hopeful though it's adorable. Makes we want to believe it could work but let's be real .
