Russian Attack Subs Reached As Far As Irish Sea Amid War In Ukraine As Putin Shows Naval Reach To UK

Russian attack submarines have conducted missions around the Irish Sea twice since the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, Bloomberg reported on July 1. The first deployment of a Russian Kilo-class submarine near the Irish Sea, which separates Ireland from Britain, was around 18 months ago. The second deployment took place recently, Bloomberg reported citing “people familiar with the matter.” Ireland’s Defence Department said air and naval assets are conducting “enhanced maritime patrolling” near offshore energy infrastructure in the Irish Sea. The extent of the submarine movements went beyond what UK officials had previously seen, the report added.

LMAo If you look at history Russia has lost a number of Subs,including 6 or more Nuclear Subs but Russian Submarines have only ever sank one ship and that was in WWII when they sank a Prussian Ocean Liner evacuating Civilians at the end of WWII killing over 9000 mostly women and children!
