Omg, this will be a shitshow!
If this goes ahead, one might see increased traffic to nearby non French airports, along with an increase in road and rail travel heading into Paris for the games.
Train traffic would only work of it’s non-SNCF trains so the longer distance ones from other EU countries and Eurostar. Plus if the station staff and track workers strike then nobody’s train are going to run.
Quite smart of them to wait for a critical moment to ask for their demands, is what happens when workers have real power and they cannot be easily replaced.
Good for them, I hope they succeed.
*Bienvenue en France, vivez nos coutumes*
Support workers, fuck IOC. Win-Win
i love the french workers, they have balls!!!
Great. The only time I go to France is to see some dude jumping really high and running really fast but now I have to rent a car.
It wouldnt be france if they wouldnt do a strike just during their country’s most important event in decades. Revolucion!!!
Good for them, all workers should strike before this shitshow of an event and fight for their rights
On brand
I’ll be in France for a week at the end of this month.
Im hoping to be massively and unnecessarily delayed. Refused service at bars. Hit with scorn when I try my (dreadful) French language skills.
Im hoping for the real French experience.
If I can be further inconvenienced by a good old strike and demonstration over some random minor thing it’ll really turn into a memorable trip!
