Leon Goretzka is not yet considering a move away from Bayern. There has been no contact between him and new coach Vincent Kompany so far. With the signing of João Palhinha, competition has increased in the position.

With the signing of João Palhinha, competition has increased in the position. A move abroad is conceivable for Goretzka in principle, but more towards the end of his career. His focus is currently on Bayern. Only if he sees during pre-season that he has no chance of playing time, then a transfer could become an option this summer, despite a contract until 2026 [[altobelli13](https://x.com/altobelli13)]
I hope we can at least sell one out of Goretzka, Gnabry and Coman. Two would be perfect
I really like him as a human being but I don’t think he has become the kind of player that we need (or apparently know how to get the best use out of). Hansi Flick made him work next to Thiago and Nagelsmann tried to make the Kimmich – Goretzka pivot viable but ultimately I think Goretzka just isn’t the right personnel for a defensive double pivot. He is an 8 that likes to play as a box crasher, as they say now. He is made for a midfield three. He needs someone to cover him defensively and someone who is tasked with playmaking to his side to amplify his qualities. I hope he realizes that it is also in his best interest to leave to a club where the system allows him to play his best football.
Why should Goretzka, Kimmich or Gnabry leave? They won the lottery by signing their current contracts. And 2 of them have the character to sit their contracts out and counting their cash.
I feel like a midfield of Pahlinha as an anchor, and goretzka doing a box to box roll with Musiala doping his thing could work really well.
I have never agreed with this end of the business, you want to sell a player that’s fine but the approach of isolation doesn’t sit well with me. Goretzka, Gnabry, Coman, and Kimmich have all been with the club for a long time so the deserve to have this gone about better.
I also think they went too hard on Paulinha, and I think there is more value in Sofyane Amrabat and Edson Alvarez.
I hope we don’t sell him. He’s a great player. He’s a great box to box 8, but he has shown he can play a more defensive 6 role too. Even if he doesn’t play all the time, he should be kept to rotate in and out of midfield. We don’t wanna have depth issues again
*player with inflated wage and no interest from other clubs wants to stay
