  2. But what about all those layoffs and inflated prices. Surely that helped them. /s

    Also companies that are going bankrupt can look no further for the lack of business to landlords, utility companies and banks. If most people’s paychecks are used just to survive then they’re not spending money at your store for extra stuff.

  5. This is the consequences of Bidenomics. A significant shift away from more prudent economic policy under Obama and Trump towards restoring the welfare state that Clinton ended. The welfare programs from the 1960s had similar problems with inflation and the consequences of those policies was the offshoring of US manufacturing. Trump made progress on reshoring but Biden’s assault on the economy is destroying whatever progress was made under Trump.
