  1. Just make sure one of them doesn’t end up in a shed of some British farmer deep into British countryside

  2. Seems like we are really taking the EU NATO part seriously. Even jointly buying stuff and with all the surrounding countries of Lake Nato too. Nice to see.

  3. So, with global shipping already running into Red Sea Houthi issues, how high would the insurance premium for dodging naval mines go?

The only rationale here would be buying them and never using them. Unfortunately, this strategy would prove less effective of a deterrent than putting those same funds towards maintaining a nuclear arsenal.

  4. I wish I was in the naval mines business. Should have listened to dad.

  5. It will look wonderful before st Petersburg & Kaliningrad ! Loving northern neighbours !!

  6. Baltic gang rise up. Also Norway was there. (Though realistically, mining the gulf of Bothnia and Barents also helps contain Russia and is thus relevant to Norway. With Bothnia and Baltic restricted, Russia has no access to the west except by invading over land, or a naval invasion over a small strip of mountainous coastline in Norway).

Blocking the Black Sea in the event of a NATO war effectively entirely neutralizes Russias navy in the western hemisphere in conjunction with a Baltic/Barent/Bothnia program.

  7. Ah, Lake NATO finally going to have it’s (bio-)diversity enhanced with possibility of new “species” being introduced en masse!

  8. Nice to see we are all working together on this. Exactly as it should be.

  9. “Lake NATO is mine.”

    – 90% of the countries on the Baltic

  10. Lmao. That is literally every country that has access to the baltic except Russia.

  11. Ahh yes. Mines are always evil indiscriminate weapons, unless of course you decide to use them.
