  1. I learnt a thing or two from Charlie, don’t you know……

  2. It’s fine. They will step in them after installation

  3. Would not surprise me one bit of we see a video in the next week of a drunk Russian walking on one of these

  4. Intended to maim. For all those who go quoting the Geneva Convention – isn’t this prohibited?

  5. That looks really labor intensive to make and install. It doesn’t make sense when you’re a nuclear power and not desperate peasants fighting an asymmetrical war.

  6. I guess, they are running out of anti-personnel mines if they have to resort to contraptions like this.

  7. Imagine if the Ukraine soldiers or even the civilians that had to leave their homes started leaving boobytraps like these it would take out a lot of stupid russians

  8. Are they short of anti-personnel mines?

Installing this in no man’s land is much more risky and time-consuming

  9. Looks like Russian tactics are going back in time, what’s next, catapults and rams?

  10. That’s not even gonna work, nails are too long typical Russian ingenuity

  11. They’re probably deploying these behind their meatwaves… makes it easier for the barrier troops.

  12. Well this one surely will stab and gore you but at least not shatter your leg into 100 pieces permanently

  13. Correct me if im wrong but arent those barbs too long? If a foot goes it itl get the boot stuck but if theres no jolting i dont see how this will cause harm

  14. Why settle for peace when we can have endless suffering?

  15. A mine is so much more effective than this, but also more expensive to make. I don’t see the advantage to these unless you don’t have access to mines.

  16. They asked for anti personnel mines and the gov sent them these

  17. Ukraine uses caltrops, a weapon from ancient Rome. Similar idea, only that these also work on tires, are cheap to produce in larger volumes, easy to deploy and also dispose.

These boxes are a lot of effort, so suppose low numbers and still likely discovered easily. It’s more a sign of desperation than anything.

  18. My understanding is down is easy pulling back out does the damage. If you are quick and smart really aware wire cutters might save the day or at least reduce the injuries.

  19. Their journey back to the Stone Age is progressing, I see. Soon it will be spears and hurled rocks.

  20. Way better way to be taken out of the fight by this spike box than by some geeks drone and have my death broadcast across the world for people’s amusement. Probably the least nasty weapon in this war to date.
