It’s a marvelous building in a wonderful green setting (pictures really can’t do it justice), but arguably the most remarkable part of it is its unique curved dome lift ([Kuppelaufzug](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuppelaufzug)), an elevator that follows an arched curve on the inside of the dome.

  2. Stay away from Hannoi, come to Brunswick, it’s much prettier here.

  3. Fun fact: the picture shows the town hall (Rathaus), which has a curved lift. They are unable to operate the lift in winter, because some sections have a 5mm tolerance, and the steel used deforms in winter.
