  6. Trump is basically the linchpin in Putin’s plans for Ukraine and Europe. He wants a weak, complicit US who will allow him to invade whoever he wants, whenever he wants, however he wants it done. It’s the same with the GOP, too. If Trump were abducted by aliens tomorrow, all their plans will crumble. Nobody else will be able to rally the lunatics the way he can. Lord knows there’s no heir apparent, either. Putin and the GOP are *banking* on Trump getting into power because he’s their last real shot at lasting power.
