  1. Yeah and added loads of other cra.p to it instead, well see how well that goes in a few years no doubt.
Cue other reasons to put it back in and remove all the junk to make it healthy.

  2. Government finds that thing that brings the government more money is successful

  3. But poisoned them with artificial sweeteners. Good job. 👍

  4. A lot, if not most, soft drinks had way too much sugar in them to begin with. However, there is a section of the population to whom artificial sweeteners taste like licking a 9v battery (it seems to be a genetic thing like how coriander tastes like soap to some) and now have almost no options when it comes to an occasional sugary treat.

Since the sugar tax ruined my favourite soft drinks (Fentiman’s), I started making my own [cordials](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cordials/) and I’ve found it’s often cheaper and you can control the amount of sugar in them.

  5. How low does sugar consumption have to be before there is no impact on health?

  6. Well it worked on me too, because soft drinks now taste like crap and I don’t need my cancer risk increased any further at my time of life by glugging sweeteners and whatever chemical gloop is in the mix now.

And that aftertaste……..nothing natural needs to taste that awful.
