  1. Yesterday, showed dry on Friday & Saturday. Arranged farming work for then, now showing rain from midday onwards Saturday, dry Thursday.

    Fucking, fucking FUCK!

  2. Met office app looks slightly better, just download that and you’ll be grand

It’s showing Friday as not grim all day, so I’m taking the kids to the beach. Hopefully for them the app is correct

  3. Put it this way.

At least there will be no hosepipe ban this year.

And hopefully, Lough Neagh won’t have a toxic algae bloom again.

  4. The year is 1989, I’m walking along a footpath, it’s autumn, for all the leaves have fallen off the trees, they’re littered everywhere, yes it’s a leafy street in Belfast, I’m walking with my granny, we must be going to the shop for a loaf or milk or something, I step on wet clumps of leaves, I check my shoe, no dogs dirt, was just a clump of wet leaves… this time.

I’m continuing to walk, constantly checking my shoes for dogs dirt, I begin to lag behind and my granny stops, “hurry up David, come on now”, my granny called me David as well as my other family members.

I’m looking up the street, the trees look so tall, the street looks so long for my legs are only small, that of an average four year old, why couldn’t I bring my scooter, i’d be much quicker and I wouldn’t need to check my shoes for dogs dirt every five steps.

We get to the shop, it’s only a small shop, it has sawdust all over the floor, this isn’t the place that sells bread, it’s the butchers. I don’t hear what my granny asks for over the counter, because I’m staring at other people in the shop, they all look strange, different from me and my family.

My family are all gingers, thoroughbred gingers, used to the bright hair and pale skin of my family, I can’t help but look at these people with dark hair, wheres their freckles? That one has dark eyes, all my family have light blue eyes. The world is a strange and frightening place for a young ginger child like me, though I would grow more accustomed to it as I got older.

I’m 10 years old now, I’ve just got up from watching the Power Rangers on TV, there’s no orange ranger. Contempt grew inside me. It was then when I started asking around about the Orange Order. I knew this was something for me, somewhere where I can fit in.

On a rainy July day in 2003, I joined. I was finally someone; I fit in. This day and this weeks weather reminds me of that day.

    All the best,

    Dave

  5. It’s always sunny on the 12th. It wouldn’t rain on the sunburnt orange men

  6. No point looking that far ahead – impossible to be accurate. Just take each day as it comes and make the most of those dry days!

  7. Im going to Rio in 2 days…. gives rain for the first 2 days. Atleast it will be hot rain

  8. I found Met Eireann to be the most accurate for here. I mean it’s still got it down as pure lashing down, but still, for future reference.

  9. so glad I booked next week off ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)

  10. It’s freezing. I had to put the heating on yesterday.

  11. Brutal!! Hopefully you make it out of the country for a bit of sun but still, it’s pure shite what we get!!!

  12. Seems so unreliable/changeable atm(I read an article either yesterday or today saying the 12th weekend things were gonna clear up/brighten up).

I’ve started operating on the basis of not checking the forecast because 1 in 3 times atm it seems to get it completely wrong.

So I reckon you could bet that a 3rd of those days in the pic will end up being sunny/decent.

  13. Met Eireann app is decent enough. More features than BBC or the Met Office
