Montana Republicans urge state high court to reverse landmark youth climate ruling

1. Because Republicans don’t represent people, they represent corporations. I wish more rank and file repubs got that.

2. This is the same party that was making noise about raising the voting age to take a voice away from youth.  It’s no surprise their fighting to take the future away too. 

3. It’s in Montana’s constitution that they have to have a clean environment.

   I briefly glazed through the article, but i don’t see on what grounds the republicans want this ruling overturned.

   >Attorneys for the state argue that the volume of greenhouse gasses released from Montana fossil fuel projects is insignificant compared with global emissions and reducing them would have no meaningful effect on the climate.

   That’s the only thing i can find.

   Is it just that they want it overturned because they just don’t like it?

   I mean, i’m used to seeing that as the reasoning from conservatives (often with idiotic post-hoc justifications), but i would like to know officially.

4. Always remember republicans do not give a damn about kids future health when it comes to the foods they eat, the water they drink, or the air they breathe.

5. Aren’t republicans afraid of fascist central government.. it’s weird they also wouldn’t want a state to exercise its rights..

6. Fossil fuel really gets a nice bang for their buck with Republicans.
