Participation in the development of the Ukrainian defense industry can be extremely beneficial for American and European companies, as they can gain additional profits, first-hand access to the latest Ukrainian projects and experience, and the opportunity to test their equipment in real combat.

   The military industry term for this is “playground” – which was what a lot of them called Vietnam. Helicopters were the big hotness then, now it’s drones, but there are always types of munitions they want to test – *really* test, not just blow up on a range but “How many casualties can we inflict, and what kinds, in a real battle?”
