One part that interests me here is it says it’s an assumption that Louis and Charlotte won’t be working royals. Idk how that would work as would that not eventually leave Prince George and William as the only working royal Georges heirs grow up? And even then if only his heir becomes a working royal that would only leave two or three eventually
Supposedly QEII used to worry so much about that and William had promised her to start when George is 12, I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t though, it’s a very gloomy concept
Gruesome to think about. It’s great they have Kate to make things as normal as possible but growing up in that family would be so unlike almost anything else in the world
this is somewhat common in other areas, such as sports. for example, the US figure skating team hasn’t been allowed to all travel together in decades after the entire team was killed in a plane crash going to the world championships in the 60s.
I don’t think it’s fair to make a 12 year old fly alone. Is there a more important reason that William can’t be the one to fly alone?
This could literally be traumatic. It’s like, not necessary to traumatize kids just because they’re royals. Le sigh…
The idea that Louis and Charlotte might not need to travel separately from George is silly. Working royals or not, they are still the “spares.” Do they want Harry to inherit the throne?
This is pretty common. I mean we actually had this rule at one of my former workplaces. No more than four of us on an airplane any time
I mean, this is pretty common. Some companies do this with their employees. I think Olympic/some sports teams are like this too. And the kid wouldn’t fly alone, just not with his father or siblings. In theory he could fly with his mom or another relative. It’s to ensure the line of succession stays alive. I mean, let’s say there was a crash, heaven forbid, and all of them were on board. That would suck, and also it would put Harry on the throne.
