  1. I climbed my way up for both the Campanile and Duomo. Went to Duomo first (my tongue came out of my mouth).. I literally sweated like hell in 3 degrees weather (I weigh 100 kgs btw). And then I thought, how often will I get to visit Europe, as a tourist. So I took the heavy task of taking my body up the Campanile as well.

Boy O Boy! It was the best decision of my life. My legs were literally shaking after both the climbings. The skies were dramatic and it was all worth it.

  2. Don’t do the same in Bruges. There is a rude guy sitting there on a bench, calling people names.

  3. Florence is a wonderful city. Dante should come home..

  4. There is a very nice little restaurant called Il Sasso di Dante just next to it that is weirdly not overcrowded with tourists and that serves delicious food at a decent price.

  5. I’m here now! Eating breakfast and blaming my self for scrolling instead of embarrassing this beautiful city… but hey, I been all over already and you know how it is… sometimes you need to just chill down a little, right!?

  6. Been there more than 30 years ago. Recognized it immediately ♡

  7. Omg! I’ve visited Florence twice yet I’ve never done this. Spectacular. The Duomo is just something else…

  8. I’m more surprised that there seems to be no renovation going on here.

  9. When you play the game and then you visit Santa Maria del Fiore! Such a blissful experience 🖤🖤🖤

  10. When I was there, there were a few ambulance* cars parked at the bottom, wouldn’t be surprised if they are used more often these days.

  11. P. S. If you are still there: on the right side of the church a bit behind is a cool sculpture museum 😎

  12. 95% of Europeans in this thread: Firenze, so what? Good for you, nice place, been there dozens of times.

95% of Americans: uh, dunno, maybe Mongolia?

5% of Americans (who played assassins creed): yeah I fucking jumped off that cathedral once to slice that dudes throat in mid air. Also did you know that Brunelleschi’s cupola was deemed impossible to build when he did it? Yeah, but Vasari really f’ed up the frescoes inside, I personally much prefer the work of –

  13. You climbed the Civ4 BtS main menu? Didn’t knew there was a VR mod.

  14. Hey I stood on that roof years ago! Concealed knife on my wrist and my name was Italian

  15. Crazy that I instantly recognized it because I have been there a decade ago in AC2 lol.
