  1. Very nice – but good luck doing well if you're an Olympic athlete after sleeping on those cardboard beds (!), and with no air conditioning.

  2. It's laughable that new construction is happening almost anywhere in Europe without air conditioning. How many little old ladies have to die each summer for them to wake up. It can get very hot in Paris.

  3. They had cardboard beds at the Tokyo games as well. I honestly wouldn’t mind getting a fresh bed to be honest. 😊

  4. You know the little boy that says “apparently” when he’s being interviewed? The way the narrator talks is the adult version of that.

  5. The absence of air conditioning has nothing to do with environmental concerns. Air conditioning in summer is a primary need for these busy athletes. It's a pathetic cost cutting measure

  6. It’s a burden to host the Olympics. Have to build an Olympic village, house about 7000 athletes, build Olympic size pool and stadium, etc. It bankrupts the hosting city/ country, not to mention the tourists who trash the city.

  7. Imagine enough athletes bringing their own AC units, how it's going to overtax the electrical grid… Gonna be interesting 🤷🏻‍♀️

  8. The scale of the Olympics doesn't make economic, environmental, and logistical sense for any city. I honestly believe it's better for sports to just have their own world championship event rather than combine everything into this monstrosity of a mess
