The government built a stone stairway that climbs 4,175 steps up to the top of Øyfjellet. Nepalese workers were hired to build the stairs, they were treated and paid well, and provided a helicopter to bring the stones up.
It’s so lovely to see such a project for the benefit of enjoying nature.
