Someone when they tried to park or remove it, touched my car that left it with minor scratches but didn’t leave a note or report it anywhere (I guess). Posting it here to know what my options are other than keeping shut and going about business asusual.

    Depending if you have some type of Kasko insurance, they will cover the repair but ask for a report.

  4. That sucks OP.
    Was in a similar situation but had a witness who saw the hit and run and they gave me the number plate info of the person who did it.
    But even with that info, the police was not able to find the culprit and in the end my insurance fixed the car and my premium went up.
    But definitely file a police report as your insurance will ask for it.

  6. Depends on your definition of “minor” damage. I am seeing at least 1,5k here.

  7. Your only choice is to file a report. Nothing much you can do since it’s a hit and run. This is so common here. Both of my cars have minor damage on them and I never found out who did it. This is what I get for parking in the street since I don’t have a garage. To be honest, cars aren’t safe even in a garage, at least from door dings, lol.

  8. You should try asking around a bit. If you see some pensioners hanging around at their windows, odds are they might have been doing that when your car got damaged.

    Defo file a police report for your insurance.
