Ten years ago, Sierra Leone was devastated by an outbreak of Ebola, killing around 4,000 people in the country. Now, researchers are hoping to learn from that experience to stop the spread of another haemorrhagic virus, Lassa. Although much less deadly than Ebola, doctors in Sierra Leone say they are seeing cases outside of the typical endemic zone as well as an alarming uptick in patient mortality.
