Has Rishi Sunak become “irrelevant” in a week? | The Daily T Podcast

we’ve seen so much of K stama understandably haven’t we in the last 5 days he is now the Prime Minister I think it is a kind of Stark reflection of how irrelevant you become in opposition that we’ve not seen or heard anything from Rishi sunak he’s still the interim leader of the opposition he’s announced a shadow cabinet I mean it basically happened without any Fanfare at all suddenly it was like oh oh he’s announcing Shadow when you looked at when you looked at the telegraph this morning I think it was sort of a down page piece on sort of you know page six or something way yeah there this little story and it is just that idea that somebody who is so powerful less than a week ago Camila is now relegated to almost the news in briefs because he shuffled around a few people who now really don’t matter

🗣️ “It’s the idea that somebody so powerful less than a week ago is now relegated to the news in briefs”

  1. What a pathetic form of journalism: a woman with forced facial expressions and a smirking fellow, confirming the nonesense she puts out. A total non-event.

  2. Not like Johnson who was a front page train wreck.
I liked Sunak because he wasn’t on the front page all the time and just governed… He was boring and that’s fine with me. Seems to me the media like to turn running the country into a political soap opera, and why wouldn’t they it gets clicks and sells papers.

  3. Starmer is not our British PM he rigged votes. Soon it will be vice verser for Starmer will resign whilst his Labour government goes down with him for rigging votes on GE. Starmer has no integrity expected from a PM. In a few weeks Labour will be kicked out of power for rigging voting system. Sunak won this GE. 80% didn't vote for Labour or Reform

  4. But Rishi was MIA mostly when he WAS pm. Nigel on the other – who is neither pm nor leader of the opposition … 😂

  5. For the time being there's nothing to oppose.
In the short term the Tories are a busted flush. It will continue until they rehabilitate themselves, rediscover integrity, and have something useful to say.
