Cooper: Border security ‘let down for too long’

well the Prime Minister has obviously set out the position on the Rwanda scheme where as we know the conservatives ran this scheme for two and a half years and sent simply four volunteers as well as hundreds of millions of pounds I will be uh auditing all of the details around uh the money and the legislation and the processes and I will set out more details to Parliament but the first step in our approach to all of these issues is to make sure we are putting the money instead into boosting our border security and that is why we are today launching the border security command process to make sure that we can get the new commander and new crossborder police in place in order to strengthen Britain’s border security that is my key priority as incoming Home Secretary is to strengthen Britain’s border security where I think we have been let down for too long

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has announced the launch of a new Border Security Command, saying the UK has been “let down for too long” on the issue.

On his first full day as PM, Sir Keir Starmer confirmed the Rwanda scheme is “dead and buried”.

  1. She is not saying anything about the incoming
    Illegal immigrants today
Is she talking them home and giving them citizenship.then they can vote for the labour party in the next election

  2. First thing to 1 tow Weymouth barge back to Le Havre France 🇫🇷 with help from RNLI . 2 Fly the rest to the Middle East. Baghdad Iraq 🇮🇶 is quiet nice in the summer. Riff raff especially all those men 18 to 30 years old walking up ramp at Dover giving uk people 2 fingers at camera crew. There first out the door. The Australian authorities showed us how to sort it . What a shambles this country is now.

  3. Starmer has a plan to stop the small boat invasion . He will be giving free tickets for the ferries and Chanel Tunnel. 😢

  4. Public knowledge that Anthony Charles Lynton Blair told Keir Starmers that he must look to act on immigration to keep hold of votes once in power. This is it in action. Yvette Cooper has never had a job in her life untill now. She is now doing her job at control of Starmer by direction of Blair. A step that already exits, she is merely renaming Border Control, now Border Security Command. More authoritative in title only.

  5. labour will just say welcome everyone to the party and back both sides in these stupid racist religious abrahamic wars

  6. How long is the auditing going to take? Plus putting the commander in place is it just another word for doing absolutely nothing?
