Hi fellow people,

I got a parking ticket today while my car was parked at the spot marked with red in the 1st ticket. The ticket has generic wording. So i dont know what is the offense they are charging. It is Niedersachsen.

On the front and rear side there are two parking signs as you see in picture 2 and three ehen you scroll left. According to which i am allowed to park on the sidewalk on weekends without time limit. I started my parking at 21:00 on friday and found the ticket when i went to the car at 19:00 on the next day(Saturday).

Can anyone understand why I am being charged?

  1. Saturday is a Werktag.

    On Saturdays, between 8am and 6 pm you are only allowed to park there for one hour.

  4. This is the stupidest thing, but werktags includes Saturday.

  5. So now it is pretty much clear that the offense is parking on a werktag without the parkscheibe..

    Any idea how much fine I am going to get?

  6. Werktag – any day except Sundays and Holidays

    Wochentag – Monday till Friday

  8. Fuck me. I am renting a car for a week to drive from Munich to Berlin on a wandering road trip. There’s environmental zones? Parking passes for specific days? Any toll roads I need to be aware of? Between the 3 of us we understand zero German. Please tell me there is a max dollar value for cumulative parking fees.
