  1. Things which didn’t surprise me –
    1) H&M skipping red carpet ( they would have been heckled by media about the backlash)
    2) Meghan wearing white again with tight slick bun (it’s becoming her go to look)
    3) Sweet Nod to Diana in speech

    Things which surprised me –
    1) Harry not wearing his medals , he wears them everywhere even the jubilee medals
    2) Harrison Butker being invited 🤮
    3) Serena’s hosting skills ( it was 🤨) and I couldn’t help but giggle when she said there was actual royalty present

  2. Beautiful couple, Harry has done great work, for an important and urgent cause. Love seeing them bring attention and support to that cause!

  3. I’m really glad they skipped the carpet. They look great. Harry is doing really important powerful impactful work. Happy for them.

  4. It’s so funny that after all the backlash and negative press about Harry getting the award, all it did was shine a bigger spotlight on the award show, on Pat, and on Invictus.

  5. What a wonderful, thoughtful, inspirational speech from Prince Harry. Just lovely.

  6. I think Invictus is an amazing organization but I think honouring volunteers or people who were employees would have been a better choice. The part award recipients have been normal people, not celebrities who lend their names to stuff

  7. Mary Tillman, Pat Tillman’s mother, did state publicly, that she thought there were more appropriate recipients for this award than Harry. I agree with her and wish her sentiments had been actioned, and another person chosen. Harry’s reference to the bond between mother and son is true, but again comes off as his statements usually do: self-serving, narcissistic, and disingenuous. I know he lost his mother, but referencing his own mother when referencing about Mary Tillman just seems wrong. He acts like a very unpolished politician- he really thinks people don’t see through the nonsense.

  8. What I think is GROSS is Harry passively shaming and guilt tripping Mary Tillman by alluding to the loss of his mother, all because she was critical of him be awarded this in her son’s name.

SHAME on Harry, but it isn’t surprising as that is his m.o.
    I’m with Mary Tillman.

  9. Oh, so yall are mad mad, huh?

  10. It’s an Espy award that I guarantee most people on this thread never knew existed until 2 weeks ago.  It’s not that deep.

  11. All I have to see is that Meghan looked great. That type of fit is so flattering on her.

  12. I think Tillman’s mom has every right to express her opinion, much as we all do. Mine is that I follow sports so am aware of the Espys but meh, don’t really care one way or another who gets nominated or who wins. This is a really nice picture of them and they seem far more relaxed than they did in Nigeria (they also seemed to enjoy themselves more when they were in Canada for Invictus). And I really love her dress.

Although I find myself having to focus because I keep thinking Meghan’s chair is actually the woman behind her’s fishnet stocking. 🙂

  13. It’s so great to see them looking so well and for Invictus to get such recognition. Harry’s speech was beautiful and touching. 👍

  14. I would think that people who live in the UK would make an exception and be proud the presentation of any American award. The standing O was impressive for someone who some claim no one respects.

  15. I knew the Royalists were going to be mad when Harry’s speech went well. The way they kicked up a nonsensical fuss when the announcement dropped made it VERY clear that someone in the palace had their britches in a bunch over another sign that Harry and Meghan are thriving since escaping the royal family.
