You don’t need to go to all of these places (unless you really want to). You can focus on a few and take your time.
As uou have not given any indication on what you need assistance with, it is difficult to tell you anything.
Hei,
I am visiting Norway for 6 days (5 nights) later this month and I spent lots of time reading articles, reddit threads, watching videos, etc. but I still feel like there’s a lot I can improve with my plan and your help would be highly appreciated.
Plan: (link: [https://stippl.io/nlashov/trip/Western%20Norway?utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=trip_share_link&utm_source=stippl_user&utm_content=undefined](https://stippl.io/nlashov/trip/Western%20Norway?utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=trip_share_link&utm_source=stippl_user&utm_content=undefined) )
**Day 1: Bergen – Flam – Stryn**
I know Stryn is kind of too far away for first destination and it’s gonna be a busy day. On the way, I have Njardarheimr, Stalheim Hotel view, Stegastein viewpoint, Sogndalsfjøra.
**Day 2: Stryn surroundings**
I saw that there’s a lot to do in this area so we are spending one more day at the same place to visit Loen and Olden and take the Rakssetra and Briksdalsbreen hikes.
**Day 3: Stryn – Geiranger – Trollstingen – Åndalsnes – Ålesund**
The busiest day – the plan here is to get to Geiranger in the morning and get a boat and make the hike to Skageflå. Then on the way I saw a tip in another thread about a small detour to Valldal. Worth? After that getting to Trollstingen where comes my first question (see question number 2 below after the plan)
**Day 4: Ålesund – Guddal**
Nothing much planned here – we just saw a farm in the middle of nowhere close to E39 and decided it would be nice to split the way back to Bergen in half. Open to suggestions here, I saw a hidden gem called “Viset” on the way, which I might take into consideration if weather is nice.
**Day 5: Guddal – Bergen**
Need to drop off the car at 11:30 at Bergen Airport and spending the whole day in Bergen.
**Day 6: Bergen – back to reality :D**
So as you can see, my plan is not too balanced – some days are too busy, others are basically free. So here is where I need your help
1. Suggestions – **any** would be appreciated. Places or hikes on the way, change of plans, change of routes to more picturesque (saw this one here: https://www.visitnorway.com/plan-your-trip/travel-tips-a-z/norwegian-scenic-routes/), city tips for Ålesund and Bergen, activities (Loen lift worth the price?), etc. Probably my biggest issue are the 2 days with crazy long driving involved – more than 6 hours.
1. As Trollstingen is closed, is it worth it to travel around to get to Åndalsnes, Rampestreken and Litlefjellet (I saw a nice short hike there with view to the Troll wall), or is there anything better to do in the region? (e.g. Atlantic Ocean Road instead?) Got to stay in Ålesund overnight so time is tight.
1. Is this normal July weather so far? I picked the month for being one of the 2 warmest and I see it’s been raining for 2 weeks now, although it should be raining 12 days in average in July according to Google. I was really hoping for some sun.
Mange takk!
