I was planning to travel with my cat on a bus from Bergen -> Stavanger, but just read that pets are not allowed on the NOR WAY bus. Does anyone have experience bringing a pet on these busses? Do the drivers even care? Pls help, i really want to bring my cat!

I mean people can have a severe cat allergy, their safety and well being matters more than a cat
No, you cannot.
from what i can read **the answer is no.** It says the only exceptions are service dogs ( most likely by law)
And as people mention its argued because they have to take other passangers need first..
That said i find it dumb, If you allergic to a dog and there is a service dog you cant take the buss?
I would think in a well ventilated buss that a cat or a dog with some distance in theory should not have been an issue .. but its their rules
Is it a dog? If not, no.
No, but you can on trains.

Would probly be okey with it in a cage in the luggage room under the buss
Check Fjordline if you can take it on the boat instead.
This is about the Fjordline Ferry.
Only if you have your own car are you allowed to bring your cat on board. And it would have to be in the car the whole journey.
Rules for dogs are very different.

No.
And fuck people dragging cats onto busses.
By their policy its not allowed, people still do it tho.
It says they don’t allow it. It varies between bus companies so if you CAN use another one i’d check their rules instead. (Never had an issue bringing my cat on the bus in oslo or in møre and romsdal for example)
If you want to bring your cat, you’ll have to go by plane or the Fjord Line ferry. If it’s just for a short visit, I’d highly recommend having someone watch your cat instead. It’ll be stressful and unpleasant for the cat and should only be done if it’s absolutely necessary.
No.
Don’t try.
The screenshot says service dogs only.
Police dogs with police in uniform.
Rescue dogs in service or in learning.
They require a vest and/or ID and documentation
I’m surprised this is such a huge problem. God, I’m glad I have a car. If you can’t even bring your pet to the vet without a car, how the fuck are people supposed to be able to use kollektivtrafikk?
Take the Fjordline ferry from Bergen to Stavanger. They have an animal room with cages. But you need to book an animal spot in advance.
Charge phone? 🙂 But to your answer, not allowed.
not unless your cat is a service-dog apparently
Went to a bus driver to ask about assistant dog – “no way I let a dog on my buss”. Even after showing him their website.
Wrote a mail to VY – no reply. And politicians wonder why no one wants to use public transport?
You will be able to take your cat on all three of the major Norwegian airlines; Norwegian, SAS and Widerøe. Comes with a slight upcharge of ca. 500kr, which you easily can add during the booking process.
No
I remember once when it was bus for trains, i could bring my cat then
There is a ferry, use that! 🙂
